PUBG: Battlegrounds has switched to a free-to-play model and is now available to all gamers for free on PC and consoles.

Krafton first announced the decision to make PUBG: Battlegrounds free-to-play on December 9 at The Game Awards 2021, which will take place on January 12.

The game has sold over 75 million copies worldwide since its release in 2017; it was previously priced at Rs. 999 in India, but is now available for free on Steam.

Gamers who upgrade to the Battlegrounds Plus premium account will receive 1,300 G-Coin in addition to a 100% increase in Survival XP.

Upgraded accounts get access to the Medal tab in career mode, as well as Ranked mode and Custom match functionality.
