Apple was rumored to be working on a new MacBook Air and a Pro model with an M2 processor. The launch date, however, appears to have been pushed back even further.

The new MacBook Air M2 will not be released until the second half of 2022, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via MacRumors).

Apple is expected to release the 13-inch MacBooks later this year, according to 9to5Mac.

The upcoming entry-level MacBook, according to reports, will have a new design. Stalen is the codename for it, and the model number is J413.

Similar to the MacBook Pro M1 Pro and M1 Max models, Apple will release a laptop with MagSafe support.

The 13.3-inch display on the Air laptop will be surrounded by thick white bezels. It will keep its white keyboard layout and two USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports.

Production of the Air is expected to begin in the late second or early third quarter, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
