iPhone 14 launch may be delayed due to tensions between China and Taiwan

The iPhone 14’s launch might be delayed. An upcoming report asserts that due to the ongoing political hostilities between China and Taiwan, Apple may delay the release of the iPhone 14 series. Everything began when US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, which China did not appreciate. What effect does it have on the release of the iPhone 14? One of the largest chip manufacturers in the world, TSMC, is based in Taiwan. The majority of Apple’s iPhone component suppliers are based in China.

There could be changes as a result of the ongoing political unrest that would make it more challenging to produce the iPhone. According to reports, Apple has instructed its Taiwanese vendors to follow China’s new regulations, which forbid the labeling of goods as “made in Taiwan, China” or “Chinese Taipai.”

The delivery of supplies from suppliers in Taiwan to the Pegatron factory in Suzhou, China, which produces some products for American companies like Microsoft, has already started to experience delays from China. These shipments are being held up by Customs while they examine the shipping papers for any references to Taiwan or its official status as the “Republic of China.”

While she was in Taiwan, Pelosi was photographed with Jason Chen, vice chairman of Pegatron, and other businessmen from the Taiwan chip industry. The ongoing conflict may lead to a trade war, which would make it more challenging to produce the iPhone before it is released.

Production of the iPhone 14 in India

For India and other markets in this region, Apple’s determination to relocate its manufacturing hubs outside of China may be a plus. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will work with Foxconn to produce the iPhone 14 in India. Only the 6.1-inch iPhone is anticipated to be manufactured in India. The most recent iPhone from Apple will be introduced in India alongside China for the first time, though. Some iPhone models, including the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and the iPhone 11, have been requested by the company that their suppliers produce them in India. However, the manufacturing cycle was delayed for a few quarters after the launch.

The US tech giant reportedly planned to introduce the iPhone 14 on September 13th. More than a month has passed since the rumored launch date, and Apple has not confirmed any information. If production is hampered, Apple may need to postpone the sale by a few weeks.
