Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition: 120Hz Display, Price, and Storage Options are Revealed

The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition will make its debut in China on July 12. For the upcoming smartphone, the company has been releasing teasers that hint at its specifications. Realme has now revealed the display-related features of the Realme GT2 Explorer Master Edition. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone’s display will support HDR10+ and have a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 2.37mm narrow chin. 1.07 billion additional colors will be added. As Realme had previously stated, the smartphone will have a hole-punch cutout that will house the selfie camera at the front.

According to tipper Sudhanshu Ambhore, who tweeted the information, the alleged JD.com listing of the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition revealed the phone’s cost and storage capacity. It can be found listed for CNY 9,999 with three storage options (about Rs. 1,18,200). Three different RAM and storage combinations are listed for the smartphone: 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB, and 12GB RAM + 256GB.

After announcing the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition’s July 12 Chinese launch date, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme recently shared some display and design information about the device on Weibo.

Specifications for the Realme GT2 Explorer Master Edition (expected)

The company revealed that the upcoming smartphone’s display will feature 1.07 billion colors, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 2.37mm thin chin. The display has HDR10+ certification as well. Realme claims that the middle frame of the GT2 Explorer Master Edition is made of right-angled metal. The company revealed in a separate Weibo post that the upcoming smartphone will also have eye care modes that will automatically adjust the display brightness for eye protection.

Rumor has it that the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with UHD (2,412×1,080 pixels) resolution as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. According to a previous tweet from Realme CEO and founder Sky Li, the Realme GT2 Explorer Master Edition will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The smartphone reportedly has a triple rear camera setup with two 50-megapixel and one 2-megapixel sensor, according to reports. The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition is expected to come with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The selfie camera will reportedly be housed in a hole-punch style cutout on the front of the device.
