Asus ROG Phone 6, ROG Phone 6 Pro Powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC Launched

Asus introduced the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro on Tuesday in India. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and up to 18GB of RAM are features of the two gaming smartphones from Qualcomm. The Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro come with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display that supports HDR10+, has a 165Hz refresh rate, and uses special ROG tuning technology. A 6,000mAh battery and a triple camera setup are included with both smartphones.

Indian prices for the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro

The price of the lone 12GB RAM + 256GB storage Asus ROG Phone 6 variant is Rs. 71,999. The single 18GB RAM + 512GB storage model of the Asus ROG Phone 6Pro is priced at Rs. 89,999. The company’s social media channels will later post information about the sale and availability, according to Asus. Both the Phantom Black and Storm White color options, as well as the Storm White color option for the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro, are readily available.

Specifications for the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro

Both the Asus ROG Phone6 and the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro share several features. The ROG UI, an Android 12-based user interface, is used on dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones. Both devices have a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,448) Samsung AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1ms response time, 23ms touch latency, support for HDR10+, and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Both gaming smartphones feature 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, Pixelworks i6 processors, and displays. A tiny ROG Vision-capable PMOLED display is also included on the back panel of the Pro model.

Asus ROG Phone 6 Series

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and Adreno 730 GPU are inside the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. While the vanilla model only has up to 12GB of RAM, the latter has up to 18GB. The Asus GameCool 6 cooling system is present on both smartphones. The manufacturer calls it the biggest cooling improvement since the ROG Phone series debuted. It has a more efficient 360-degree CPU cooling system that dissipates heat. Asus claims that the performance has improved by up to 10 degrees Celsius.

Both the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro have three rear cameras for taking pictures. They have main Sony IMX766 cameras with a 50-megapixel resolution, 13-megapixel wide-angle cameras with a 125-degree field of view, and 5-megapixel close-up cameras. The 12-megapixel cameras on smartphones can be used for selfies and video calls.

The AeroActive Cooler 6 is a supplemental cooling device for the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro smartphones that has a built-in thermoelectric cooling system to significantly lower the temperature of your ROG Phone. The battery of the phone powers this add-on accessory, allowing for wireless use. With the ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, an expansion dock, and a ROG Clip, a PS4, Xbox, or Stadia controller with an extendable arm can also be connected to the ROG phone.
