Poco C40 will be launched on June 16th globally

Poco’s C-series smartphones are now available in international markets. The Poco C40’s global launch date has been set for June 16, according to the company’s Twitter account. The Poco C40 has been circulating for some time, and the company recently confirmed its existence in a community forum post. The Poco C40 is an upcoming entry-level smartphone that will most likely be Poco’s most affordable device for global markets to date.

Poco has started revealing some of the key features of its upcoming C-series smartphone ahead of its launch. Through social media teasers, the company has confirmed that the upcoming Poco C40 will be equipped with a 6000mAh battery unit. According to a teaser, Poco has also revealed the back panel design of the upcoming handset, which will include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Poco will stick to its signature design language, with a large rectangular island surrounding the camera module that will also house the Poco branding in large font, according to the teaser. Poco has also confirmed the Poco Yellow colour variant for the upcoming Poco C40.

Expected Specifications for the Poco C40

On the NBTC certification website, the Poco C40, model number 220333QPG, had previously been seen. The Poco C40 and the Redmi 10C have the same model number (known as Redmi 10 in India). The Redmi 10C Global variant is designated by the model number 220333QAG.

Based on the model number similarity, the upcoming Poco C40 appears to be a rebranded Redmi 10C with some changes under the hood. As previously stated, the Redmi 10C has a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with 400nits brightness and a waterdrop notch. A primary camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels and a depth sensor with a resolution of 2 megapixels are included in the phone.

The Redmi 10C is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. The JR510 SoC is said to be used in the Poco C40 instead of the Snapdragon chipset found in the Redmi.
