In September, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is expected to release a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to a new report, Apple is working on major improvements to the iPhone 14’s front-facing camera.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, claims that the iPhone 14 series will include auto-focus for the front camera. The front camera on the iPhone 14 series will now be a 6P lens. In the past, the company has released iPhone models with a 5P lens. This means that there will be six plastic layers on top of the front camera to reduce aberrations.
According to reports, the entry-level iPhone 14 models will retain the same set of rear cameras with 12-megapixel wide and ultra-wide lenses. This year’s Pro models, on the other hand, will get a new wide camera with a 48-megapixel sensor that can shoot videos in 8K resolution.
The price of the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $1099 and $1199, respectively, due to rising component costs and Apple’s determination to differentiate between Pro and non-Pro iPhones. Apple is also expected to replace the iPhone 13 mini with a Max model, which would result in a $300 price increase.
Specifications for the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
According to rumours, the 2022 iPhone 14 series will include a new design, a better camera, and other enhancements over the Pro model. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to have a taller profile and a better camera module to accommodate the new internals.
Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro will have 8GB of RAM and a 120Hz refresh rate on its display. The iPhone 13 model, on the other hand, has a storage capacity of 128GB. According to analysts, the iPhone 14 series devices will have a 64GB base storage capacity.
In terms of design, the camera bump on the 2022 high-end iPhone will be 4.17 mm thick, which is 0.57 mm thicker than the bump on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The bump on the back of the iPhone will grow by about 5% in each dimension to accommodate the new camera hardware, going from 35.01 mm to 36.73 mm in width and 36.24 mm to 38.21 mm in height.
