Sony Xperia 1 IV Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Launched

Sony unveiled the all-new Xperia 1 IV in the global market on Wednesday. The Sony Xperia 1 IV is a high-end smartphone with impressive specifications. The phone comes with a 4K OLED display, a ZEISS triple camera system, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Apple iPhone 13 Pro when it is released.

Price, Colors, and Availability of the Sony Xperia 1 IV

The Xperia 1 IV costs $1,600 (roughly Rs. 1,23,55) in the United States and €1,400 (roughly Rs. 1,14,123) in Europe. Black, Purple, and Ice White are the three colour options available. It will be available for pre-order on Sony’s official website starting today.

Unfortunately, there is no information about its release in India, and it is unlikely to ever reach the Indian market.

Specifications for the Sony Xperia 1 IV.

Sony’s design has been fairly standard. The brand takes the easy route, but its flagship devices provide one of the most premium experiences. The Sony Xperia 1 IV is in the same boat. The smartphone has rounded corners and a flat-screen display. There is no notch or punch-hole panel, and the brand uses a simple bezel design.

A 6.5-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ resolution is included. It has a 4K resolution, HDR compatibility, and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 240Hz touch sampling rate and a 240Hz motion blur reduction feature are also included on the screen. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus provides protection.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core chipset is at the heart of the Xperia 1 IV. It has 12GB of RAM and internal storage of 256GB/512GB. For added storage, Sony has included a microSD card slot. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. It comes pre-installed with Android 12.

The smartphone’s cameras are one of its main selling points. The cameras on this year’s Xperia flagship are ZEISS-branded, as they always are. On the back, it has a triple camera system. A 12MP main lens with an f/1.7 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with an 85mm to 125mm focal length round out the setup. Interestingly, Optical Image Stabilization is supported by all three lenses. Videography Pro mode and Cinematic shooting mode are two of the camera’s features. It has a 12MP front-facing camera with 4K HDR video recording capability.
