M2 MacBook Air may unveil At the upcoming WWDC 2022

On June 6, 10:00 a.m. PT, Apple will kick off its annual developer conference, Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) (10:30 pm IST). For the third year in a row, the WWDC will be held virtually, but a select group of developers will be invited to Apple Park in Cupertino. According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter’s Mark Gurman, Apple may officially unveil the redesigned MacBook Air at the event.

According to Gurman, Apple planned to introduce a new MacBook Air model with the M2 chip at WWDC this year, but supply chain issues appear to have pushed back the launch date.

Features of the M2 MacBook Air

According to display industry consultant Ross Young, the new MacBook Air will have a slightly larger 13.6-inch display than the current 13.3-inch model. It’ll probably be thinner and lighter than the 24-inch iMac, and it’ll probably come in colours like blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange, and purple. It could also have off-white bezels and a matching off-white keyboard instead of black.

USB C ports, a 30W power adapter, full-sized function keys, multiple external display support, and a MagSafe charging connector will all be included in the 2022 MacBook Air.

Apple recently unveiled a completely reimagined MacBook Pro in 14- and 16-inch models, powered by the all-new M1 Pro and M1 Max — the first pro chips designed for the Mac. A stunning Liquid Retina XDR display, a wide range of ports for advanced connectivity, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and the best audio system in a notebook round out the new MacBook Pro.

Apple WWDC 2022 keynote

Following the keynote, on June 6 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, the Platforms State of the Union for developers will take place. Apple’s Apple Design Awards will take place on June 6 at 5 p.m. Pacific (8 p.m. Eastern). Throughout WWDC 2022, Apple will be posting session videos to the Apple Developer app and website daily.
