Redmi is preparing to launch its new flagship series. Xiaomi will launch the Redmi K50 series in China on March 17. At the event, the company is expected to reveal three new flagship smartphones. Among them are the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+. Redmi has begun releasing new teasers that reveal the devices’ specifications and features ahead of their launch, in typical Redmi style.
The latest teaser confirms the performance unit details for the top-end Redmi K50 Pro+. The Redmi flagship’s processor and battery specifications have been confirmed by Xiaomi.
Specifications for the Redmi K50 Pro+
The Redmi K50 Pro+, the company’s top-tier offering in the K50 series, will go on sale in China on March 17th. It is expected to make its debut in India under a different name. According to the company, the phone will have a 5000 mAh battery when it is released. The powerful battery pack will support 120W fast charging right out of the box. According to Redmi, the Pro+ model will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
A Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2K has also been confirmed for the device. The display will most likely be 6.67 inches with a hole-punch cutout in the top center. The phone will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back of the device, there will be a triple-camera setup. It will feature a 108MP main camera sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). The main camera will most likely be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP tele-macro camera.
The Redmi K50 series will also include WiFi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, an IR blaster, and dual-frequency GPS, among other features, according to Xiaomi. A dual speaker setup, Dolby Atmos support, and Hi-Res audio certification will also be included with the devices.
The other two devices, the K50 and K50 Pro are likely to share some of the same hardware. The K50 will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the K50 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 8100 SoC.
