While many OnePlus fans are anticipating the release of the company’s next flagship smartphone, anticipation is also building for the company’s first tablet, which is expected to be unveiled soon.
According to a tweet from leaker Shadow Leak, the OnePlus Pad could come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor, a 12.4-inch FullHD+ OLED display, and a massive 10,090 mAh battery that supports the company’s Warp Charge 45W fast charging technology.
The OnePlus Pad could also have dual rear cameras, with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor that could be a wide-angle camera. The tablet could come with an 8-megapixel camera on the front, but it’s unclear if these will be wide-angle lenses for better video calls and meetings.
A 10,090 mAh battery with 45W Warp charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, similar to the latest iPads, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are all possible features. In terms of connectivity, we may see Bluetooth 5.1 as well as a 5G version.
A premium Android tablet with a large screen is in the works
Even though there have been no leaks revealing the OnePlus Pad’s design, reports suggest that the device has already gone into production.
Because of the Snapdragon 865 SoC, the tablet will be able to connect to 5G networks. This is a slightly older chipset, having been released in 2020.
The Oppo Pad had a more powerful processor than the OnePlus slate, and early reports suggested that the OnePlus slate was a rebranded version of Oppo’s tablet.
The massive battery pack, which should ideally last more than a day, a fast-charging solution, and a large screen are among the highlights.
The 12.1-inch display is large enough to allow people to work on the go, attend classes from a distance, and enjoy games and multimedia content.
Pricing for the OnePlus Pad (expected)
According to the rumor, the one plus Pad will cost CNY 2999, which roughly translates to Rs. 36,000 or USD 471.
Except for Samsung, there aren’t many Android tablet options on the market. This appears to be what OnePlus is aiming for. Samsung’s S7 FE Tab and Apple’s iPad Air are the closest competitors.
In India, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is available for Rs. 39,999 and is powered by an even older 5G SoC, the Snapdragon 750G. This is why we believe OnePlus will price the tablet aggressively, at least in the Indian market.
