In India, OnePlus released the Nord 2 smartphone last year. It appears that work on its successor, the Nord 2T, is already underway. New renders of the upcoming smartphone have surfaced online, giving us a good idea of how it will look when it is released later this year.
According to renders shared by 91Mobiles, the device will have a gradient finish, similar to the original OnePlus One, which had a sandstone finish. All fans adored the sandstone finish, which they have been pleading with the company to bring back since it was phased out in favor of other rear panel finishes such as frosted and glossy glass.
The Nord 2T renders also show a large rectangular camera island with a different blue colour finish and a triple camera setup, in addition to the sandstone finish. There appears to be one large camera sensor and two small sensors in a separate circle in the renders. Because the camera modules appear to be out of symmetry, which is uncommon in phones, we advise you to take these renders with a grain of salt, as they could just be a computer-aided design (CAD) rendering that the company is considering.
The camera island appears to have two LED flashes in addition to the camera sensors. The device will also have a drill-hole slot as a notch in its upper-left corner, as well as a plastic frame for its body, according to the report.
Expected specifications for the OnePlus Nord 2T
According to reports, the OnePlus Nord 2T will have a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC is expected to power it. It has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor, according to reports. For selfies, it could get a 32-megapixel sensor on the front. All of this is said to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology, and it will come pre-installed with Google’s Android 12 operating system.
