A Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone is said to be in the works as a follow-up to the Huawei Mate X2, which was released in February of last year. The Huawei Mate X3’s key specifications have been leaked online ahead of the official announcement. The device is expected to be powered by a Kirin 9000 4G SoC. It’ll be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and run on the latest HarmonyOS 2.0.1 software. A new Huawei foldable smartphone has also been spotted on TENAA, indicating that it will be released soon.
Tipster Digital Chat Station posted key Huawei Mate X3 specifications on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. According to the source, the upcoming foldable phone will run on Hongmeng OS 2.0.1, which is the same as HarmonyOS 2.0.1. A BOE Display PWM (pulse-width modulation) screen with an ultra-thin glass display is said to be included in the new phone. It could be powered by a Kirin 9000 4G SoC. A 4,500mAh battery is also said to be included in the Huawei Mate X3.

Separately, Huawei Mate X3 with model number PAL-AL00 has been listed by TENAA, China’s state telecommunications certification authority. The phone will support dual-SIM and have 4G connectivity, according to the listing. The listing also shows the HarmonyOS 2.0.1 operating system and a 4,500mAh battery on the upcoming foldable Huawei handset. The listing was first noticed by GizmoChina. It’s worth noting that Huawei has yet to provide any details about the launch of the Huawei Mate X3.
Prices for the Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone began at CNY 17,999 (roughly Rs. 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and CNY 18,999 (roughly Rs. 2,12 lakh) for the 8GB + 512GB variant in February of last year.
A 6.45-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz is featured on the Huawei Mate X2. It reveals an 8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz when it is fully opened. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and Mali-G78 GPU. It has 8GB of RAM and can be expanded to 512GB of storage using Huawei’s Nano Memory card (up to 256GB). The Huawei Mate X2’s quad rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto shooter, and an 8-megapixel super zoom camera. It has a sensor with a 16-megapixel resolution. The Huawei Mate X2 has a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
