The first major event of 2022 has been officially announced by Apple. The new Apple event will take place on March 8, according to the company. At the event, the company is expected to reveal several new products. The company did not disclose the exact details in its “Peek Performance” launch event invitation. However, there have been some hints from the rumor mill in the past. The new iPhone SE 5G could be one of the new products launching on March 8.
Apple may also announce a new iPad Air at the event, in addition to the new iPhone SE 5G. The Mac mini could also be updated to support the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.
On March 8, Apple will host an event
Apple’s upcoming event on March 8 is called Peek Performance. Because the event will be held virtually, there will be no media coverage. Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone SE 5G. It will be designed in the same way as the iPhone SE 2020. This means the phone will have a 4.7-inch display on the front with thick bezels on the top and bottom. The device will have a Home button in addition to the Touch ID sensor.
According to rumors, Apple may refresh the design and release the iPhone SE 5G with a notch at the top of the display. The phone’s display could then be 6.1 inches. However, most rumors indicate that Apple will stick with a 4.7-inch display this year.
The new iPhone will support 5G networks, as the name suggests. For 5G network support, it will come with the latest A15 chip, if not the slightly older A14 chip. There will be either a single 12MP or an 8MP sensor on the back.
In addition to the iPhone, a new iPad Air could be unveiled at the event. The majority of the changes are most likely to take place beneath the hood. It will have a faster processor and be capable of connecting to 5G networks. As is typical of the Air lineup, it could come in a variety of colours. Throughout the event, the Apple logo appears in various colours, implying that the iPad Air will be released soon.
Apple may also announce a new Mac mini M1 Pro/ M1 Max. Late last year, the new chips were announced alongside the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. More information should become available online as the launch date approaches.
