Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Powered by Snapdragon Processor Launched in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in India via a Livestream on the company’s social media channels on Thursday, February 17. The Galaxy S22 series, which debuted at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 virtual event last week, improves on last year’s Galaxy S21 models in some ways. As the highest-end model in the lineup, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with an integrated S Pen for a Galaxy Note-like experience on the Galaxy S series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is also found in the Galaxy S22 family’s India variants.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series price in India

In India, the Samsung Galaxy S22’s base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs Rs. 72,999. A model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is also available for Rs. 76,999. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ starts at Rs. 84,999 for an 8GB + 128GB model and goes up to Rs. 88,999 for an 8GB + 256GB model.

The 12GB + 256GB Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 1,09,999. The top-of-the-line 12GB + 512GB model is also available for Rs. 1,18,999. The Galaxy S22 Ultra was unveiled in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 1TB, both of which have yet to be released in India.

In India, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will not be released until later this year. However, the phones are now available for pre-order in the country. In the country, pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 series will begin on February 23.

Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White will be available in India for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+, while Burgundy, Phantom Black, and Phantom White for the 12GB + 256GB model and Burgundy and Phantom Black for the 12GB + 512GB model will be available in India for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S22 last week, with a starting price of $799. (roughly Rs. 60,000). At launch, the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra cost $999 (roughly Rs. 75,000) and $1,199 (roughly Rs. 99,000), respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 was launched in India last year for Rs. 69,999, with the Galaxy S21+ priced at Rs. 81,999 and the Galaxy S21 Ultra is priced at Rs. 1,05,999.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S22

On top of One UI 4.1, the Samsung Galaxy S22 runs Android 12. The phone is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus+ panel and has a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a variable refresh rate of 48–120Hz. There’s a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood, along with 8GB of RAM as standard. The Galaxy S22’s triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). A 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter are also included in the camera setup.

For selfies and video chats, the Galaxy S22 has a 10-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens on the front.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 can hold up to 256GB of data. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, gyro, hall, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The display also includes a fingerprint sensor. With an IP68 rating, the phone is dust and water-resistant.

The Galaxy S22 comes with a 3,700mAh battery that supports up to 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The phone also comes with Wireless PowerShare, which allows you to charge other devices that support wireless charging.

The Galaxy S22 is 168 grams and 146.0×70.6×7.6mm in size.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S22+

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ shares many of the same features as the regular Galaxy S22. The One UI 4.1 skin is based on Android 12, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, as well as the triple rear camera setup, are all identical. The Galaxy S22+ has a larger 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display than the Galaxy S22, but the same variable 48–120Hz refresh rate. Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra-wideband (UWB) support are also included, as well as a larger 4,500mAh battery with up to 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare.

In terms of size and weight, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ measures 157.4×75.8×7.6mm and weighs 196 grams.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 as well. It has a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1–120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz when used in-game mode. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM. Unlike the other two models, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 108-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.8 lens, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. A 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom and another 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 10x optical zoom is also included in the camera setup.

On the front of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a 40-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens for selfies and video chats.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra can hold up to 512GB of data. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, gyro, hall, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The display also includes a fingerprint sensor.

The S Pen stylus, which is housed in a dedicated component on the phone, is included with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, just like it was with previous Galaxy Note models.

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that can charge at 45W wired and 15W wireless. It also has Wireless PowerShare, which allows you to charge other wirelessly charged devices. It also has 163.3×77.9×8.9mm dimensions and weighs 229 grams.
