In India, Samsung has set a launch date for the Galaxy S22 series. The company will launch its premium smartphones in India on February 17. Samsung has already started selling devices around the globe. At an event on February 17, Samsung will reveal the price and availability of the Galaxy S22 series in India.
All three Samsung S22 smartphones will be launched in India. Previously, information about the RAM, storage, and colour options had leaked online. The top-of-the-line Ultra model is expected to come with two storage options in India.
Launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series in India
Samsung will hold a virtual launch event for the Galaxy S22 series in India on February 17. At 12.30 p.m. IST, the official launch event will begin. Those who pre-booked the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22+, and/or Galaxy S22 will be eligible for all pre-booking offers, as well as a free Galaxy SmartTag.
Price, RAM, and Storage (Expected)
The Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will be available in India with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. According to MySmartPrice, the S22 base model will cost Rs 69,900, while the S22 Ultra will cost Rs 1,09,900 for the base 12GB RAM option. The Galaxy S22 Plus is expected to cost Rs 81,900 in India. Along with the vanilla S22, it will most likely be released in India in Black, White, and Green colours. The Ultra model will be available in Phantom Black and White in India. Samsung is expected to release the Phantom Green colour in India later this year, according to sources.
Features and Specifications
The top-end S22 Ultra has a dedicated S Pen slot on the bottom edge. The display is a 6.8-inch AMOLED curved 2K display. The display has a maximum brightness of 1750 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. There are four cameras on the phone’s back. It has a main camera with 108 megapixels, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with 13 megapixels, and two 10-megapixel sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom. The device’s front camera is 40 megapixels.
The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have a triple-camera setup on the back. They have a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with a 3x zoom. All three phones will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in India.
