The first device in the much-anticipated Redmi K50 series, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, has been officially announced. While we expected the Redmi K50 Pro+, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50, and Redmi K50 Gaming editions to be released as well, the company only announced the special edition device today in China, and the regular Redmi K50 series phones should be available in the coming weeks.
The K50 Gaming Edition includes a 120Hz AMOLED display, 64MP camera, 120W fast charging, and other features. The device, which is powered by a Snapdragon SoC, was created in collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG team.
Price and Availability of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition comes in three different configurations: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+128GB, and 12GB+256GB. CNY 3299 gets you the K50 K50 Gaming Edition (roughly Rs 39,000). Some of the colour options include black, silver, blue, and grey. The CNY 4199 (Rs 49,700) special edition Mercedes AMG phone has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Specifications for the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition

The gaming edition of the phone was developed in collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and has up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It has a Displaymate A+-rated 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The optics include a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX686), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, the phone has a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor.
On the inside, the phone is powered by a 4700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. It will take only 17 minutes to fully charge. It has a slew of gaming-related features because it’s a gaming phone. A large 4860mm2 dual vapour chamber is included for heat dissipation and improved airflow. The phone has a metal midframe and includes shoulder keys, a game tuner, and 4D vibration to enhance the gaming experience. When it comes to audio, the phone has a JBL-tuned stereo speaker setup, Dolby Atmos support, and Hi-Res audio certification. It runs on Android 12 and is based on MIUI 13. This device is expected to be known as the Poco F4 GT outside of China.
