Redmi just released the K50 Gaming Edition smartphone in China. This is the K50 series’ first device to be released this year. Xiaomi will release more K50 series phones in China, with the possibility of them being released in other markets under a different name. The Redmi K50 is one of the upcoming smartphones. The vanilla K50 will be released later this year, alongside the K50 Pro.
The Redmi K50 design and specifications have been leaked ahead of the official confirmation, according to a new report. The news comes just one day after the Redmi K50 Pro’s images were leaked online.
Renders of the Redmi K50 have been leaked
The Redmi K50’s release date has yet to be determined. In the coming weeks, Redmi’s entry-level flagship is expected to be released. A new report claims that design renders of the phone have been leaked ahead of the phone’s official launch date. According to OnLeaks and Bestopedia, the Redmi flagship will have a triple-camera setup on the back. The main camera sensor will be 64MP, according to the report.
The camera is in the same position as on the Pro model. It has a triple-camera setup on a dual-step camera module. The three sensors are positioned in a triangular configuration. Camera sensors are located beneath the LED flash. Xiaomi is rumored to include an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera on the K50.
The front of the phone has a 6.6-inch flat display. The top center of the front camera has a hole-punch cutout. Except for the slightly thick chin, the bezels around the display are quite narrow. The bottom edge houses the USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and primary microphone. A 3.5mm headphone jack is missing from the phone.
On the K50, the fingerprint scanner will be located on the side of the power button. The volume keys are above the power button on the right side of the frame. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset are expected in the base model. The phone is said to have a 4700 mAh battery and 120W fast charging capabilities. It will also have a high-refresh-rate display. The AMOLED display on the K50 will refresh at 120Hz. It will run MIUI 13 in China, which is based on Android 12.
