Redmi 10 2022 powered by MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, 90Hz Display Launched

Under its number series, Redmi has quietly launched a new budget smartphone. Xiaomi has released the Redmi 10 2022 in global markets. The Redmi 10, which was released in August 2021, shares the majority of the phone’s specifications. It comes in a variety of colours and has a polycarbonate shell. The low-cost phone is compatible with 4G VoLTE networks. It also has a quad-camera setup and a display with a high refresh rate. The device could make its way to India under a new name. In India, however, Redmi already sells the Redmi 10 Prime, which has nearly identical specifications.

There are two storage options available with the Redmi 10 2022. 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage are included in the entry-level model. There’s also a 4GB + 128GB model. The pricing information, however, is currently unavailable. The phone is available in three colours: Pebble White, Carbon Grey, and Sea Blue.

Features and Specifications

The Redmi 10 budget smartphone’s 6.5-inch IPS LCD has a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. In the top centre, a hole-punch cutout houses the front camera. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, which has a refresh rate of 90Hz.

On the back, there’s a quad-camera setup. The main camera on the phone is a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera setup includes an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor as well as two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography.

For selfies and video calls, an 8MP front camera sensor is available. The phone also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. In the box, Xiaomi will include a 22.5W fast charger. The phone measures 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92mm and weighs 181 grams.

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC that only supports 4G VoLTE, not 5G. Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C are among the connectivity options. On the side of the phone is a fingerprint scanner, and AI face unlock is supported. It comes with MIUI 12.5 pre-installed, which is based on Android 11.
