Poco, which started as a sub-brand of Xiaomi, wants to expand into new markets. The company has confirmed that it is working on its first TWS earbuds, and according to a new report, it is also working on a smartwatch.
One of the brand’s top goals for 2022, according to Anuj Sharma, is to expand beyond smartphones. Poco’s new smartwatch has been listed on the EEC, TDRA, and SDPPI certification websites, indicating that the company is working on its first wristwatch.
Maybe a new Poco smartwatch is in the works
According to Twitter user Piyush Bhasarkar, an unknown Poco smartwatch has been listed on the Russian Electronics Certification platform, EEC. The listing shows a smartwatch with the model number Poco M2131W1 from Shanghai-based 70mai Co. Ltd. For those who are unfamiliar, 70mai is a brand that is frequently associated with Xiaomi’s IoT products.

Unfortunately, the listing contains no information about the specifications or features of the upcoming Poco smartwatch.
Poco is also looking into smartwatches in addition to audio. While POCO has not provided any specifics, an executive from the company has stated that if the company does enter the fitness wearables market, it will do so with a low-cost wristwatch rather than a fitness band.
POCO, like other manufacturers, maybe attempt to create a full ecosystem for its clients. This is most likely the first time we’ve heard of the smartwatch. Poco’s head of product marketing, Angus Ng, previously stated that the company is trying to expand its product line by releasing new items.
The Pop Buds from Poco could be the company’s first foray into the TWS earphone market. The earphones are still in development, and no specifications or design information are available at this time.
