Oppo Watch Free is set to debut in India on February 4th, alongside the Reno 7 Series

After teasing it on the company’s official website, Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo Watch Free will launch in India on February 4th. The device will be unveiled alongside the Reno 7 series at an online event on February 4th. The company’s social media accounts were used to announce the news.

The Oppo Watch Free has already been unveiled in China. It features a 1.64-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED display with blood oxygen and heart rate monitoring capabilities. In China, the device supports NFC, but it is unclear whether the company will make the watch available in India.

Expected Price of Oppo Watch Free in India

The Oppo Watch Free is priced at CNY 599 in China, which is roughly Rs 7,000 in India. We believe Oppo will sell the Watch Free in India for around Rs 8,000-Rs 9,000 due to import regulations and other duties. The current Oppo Watch costs Rs 14,999 in India. It is available in two colours: black and gold.

Features and Specifications

The Oppo Watch Free’s 1.64-inch AMOLED display is protected by 2.5D curved glass. It can connect to Bluetooth 5.0 devices. The device is said to include a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen monitor, sleep monitors, an ambient light sensor, and a six-axis motion sensor.

It has a total of 100 sports modes, with six of them featuring automatic tracking. Examples include running, walking, swimming, outdoor cycling, elliptical machines, and rowing machines. It will work on any Android 6.0 or higher device, as well as any iOS 10.0 or higher device.

According to Oppo, the device’s 230mAh battery will last for 14 days. The upcoming Oppo Watch will support fast charging, which will provide a full day’s battery life with just 5 minutes of charging.

The Watch Free will also come with a 19mm strap and is water-resistant to 5 ATM. It’s 20.9 grams without the strap and 32.6 grams with it. The Chinese version of the Oppo Watch Free does not have a GPS chip, which is unusual for a device in this price range.
