Oppo is breaking new ground in the field of fast charging. At the ongoing MWC 2022, the Chinese brand unveiled a new 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge and a whopping 240W SUPERVOOC flash charge. Oppo claims that a standard 4,500mAh battery can be charged in 9 minutes using the new 240W charging technology.
Oppo has introduced a Battery Health Engine that, according to the company, doubles battery life when charged at 150W. Oppo claims it is made with charge pumps and direct charging technology. A 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge can charge a 4,500 mAh battery to 50% capacity in 5 minutes and 100% capacity in 15 minutes.
At MWC 2022, Oppo also discussed how the Battery Health Engine works with the 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge. The 150W flash charge was first seen on the OPPO Find X5 series last week. The technology, according to the company, allows the battery to perform at 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, more than doubling the current industry standard of 800 cycles.
Since the launch of the SUPERVOOC in 2014, OPPO has been at the forefront of flash charging technology development and innovation. OPPO’s efficient, safe, and rapid flash charging experience has been enjoyed by over 220 million users around the world as of December 2021.
