The OnePlus Nord CE 2, a new mid-range handset from OnePlus, is set to be released soon. On February 17th, the Nord CE 2 will be launched in India. However, in recent weeks, another handset from the Nord series has made headlines. The Nord CE 2 Lite, which will be released later this year, was recently leaked on the internet. The Nord CE 2 Lite will now include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, according to a new leak from tipster Yogesh Brar.
To date, all Nord series handsets in the country have had optical in-display fingerprint scanners. Some Nord smartphones, such as the N200, N100, and N10 5G, do, however, include a fingerprint scanner on the side.
According to Yogesh, the Nord CE 2 Lite will have a 3.5mm audio jack, but it will not be OnePlus’ signature alert slider. Given that the OnePlus Nord CE lacks an alert slider, this should come as no surprise.

Specifications and features of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite
The Nord CE 2 Lite was leaked by OnLeaks earlier this month. The phone will have a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, according to him. At this time, it’s unclear whether the device will have an AMOLED or LCD display. However, given the company’s preference for a fingerprint scanner on the side, the Nord CE 2 Lite is likely to have an LED display.
The upcoming Nord CE 2 Lite will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and an Adreno 619 GPU. The handset is said to have a triple-rear camera setup, including a 64MP OmniVision primary sensor. A 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor could be included. A 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies and video calls could be included in the handset.
The Nord CE 2 Lite will have a 5000 mAh battery and 33W fast charging capabilities. There will be a Type-C charging port as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. As previously stated, the handset will not have an alert slider. OxygenOS 11, which is based on Android 11, is said to be running on it.
