The Nubia Red Magic 7 series, which includes the Red Magic 7 and Red Magic 7 Pro gaming smartphones, was launched in China on Thursday, February 17. The Pro model has more features and processing power, but both smartphones have similar specifications. The phones, which have 6.8-inch AMOLED displays and 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoCs. The Nubia Red Magic 7 has 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a battery capacity of 4,500mAh and supports 120W fast charging. According to the company, the phone can be fully charged in 17 minutes and comes with a 165W GaN charger. The phone’s connectivity options include USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A 20,000 rpm RGB fan, a “canyon air duct” with a double air inlet design, a front metal heat sink, and VC cooling with a 4,124mm heat dissipation area are all included in the ICE 9.0 cooling system (translated). The phone comes with up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

When it comes to photography, the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro has the same triple rear camera setup as the non-Pro variant. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel front camera. This camera is placed beneath the display and uses a tripod-shaped pixel arrangement and a wave-shaped electrode to maintain a high level of transparency (translated).

The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro offers up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery and 135W fast charging capability. According to the company, the phone can be fully charged in 15 minutes and comes with a 165W GaN charger. The phone’s connectivity features include USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass. The phone measures 166.27×77.1×9.98mm and weighs 235 grams.
