Nothing Founder Carl Pei Teased the Launch of Smartphone

Last year, Carl Pei left OnePlus to start his own company, “Nothing.” The event was heavily covered, and everything was set up to make it appear as if he left “loudly slamming the door” without agreeing to the OnePlus-Oppo merger. However, after some time has passed, the situation has begun to take on a new light.

BBK Electronics’ next marketing project may be the Nothing company, founded by Carl Pei. And the story of OnePlus’s founder’s departure is simply a well-played card to raise the level of informational noise and draw attention to the new brand. BBK is gearing up to create a legend and see it grow once more. The fact that Nothing isn’t a self-contained unit. Take a look at the specifications and design of the Nothing Ear (1) to see the Oppo Enco X’s features.

Carl Pei teased the first Smartphone from Nothing

Then it was announced last year that Nothing would enter the smartphone market. We’ll find out whether this is true or not later. Carl Pei, on the other hand, does allude to the release of a mobile device. This is how you can read his tweets, in which he says things like “Back on Android” and “Android 12 is nice!” Surprisingly, the moderators of the official Android and Snapdragon pages conversed with him, almost as if inviting him to collaborate.

Let’s see how things progress, but don’t expect much from the first Nothing smartphone. Some OnePlus or Oppo devices could be used as a base, with only the original exterior remaining. It will also be fascinating to see what kind of user interface the smartphone can achieve.

The new startup of OnePlus founder is working on five new products

Carl Pei, a co-founder of OnePlus, announced the launch of a new startup called Nothing a little over a year ago. The company’s first product, the Ear (1) TWS earphones with a unique design and active noise cancellation support, was released in July of last year. The device’s low price for its class – $99. – was one of its main advantages. The company now plans to build on its success by releasing five new products at once.

Nothing in India’s vice president and general manager, Manu Sharma, recently told India Today that the company is now working at a faster pace to prepare five new devices. Sharma did not specify which products they are discussing, nor did he provide a specific launch date. The new products are expected to be unveiled before the end of the year. Nothing was previously rumored to be working on a smartphone and a Power (1) external battery, but these are just rumors at this time.
