The Motorola Edge X30 was first announced in December of last year. The flagship was a pleasant surprise, as it was the first to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 technology. Motorola also saw a significant increase in sales, with the company now offering 68W fast charging and even an under-screen camera variant. Motorola fans all over the world have been waiting for this handset since December. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be the final form factor. The handset received Bluetooth SIG certification today, confirming that it is a rebranded Motorola Edge X30.
There was no doubt that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro was a rebranded Motorola Edge X30 at this point. With the model number XT2201-1, the device was certified by the Bluetooth SIG. It’s listed next to the Motorola Edge X30, which has the model number XT2201-2. As a result, we can conclude that both smartphones are essentially the same at this point. For the time being, we don’t know if a standard Motorola Edge 30 will be released in other markets, but the Edge 30 Pro will be released later this month.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MOTOROLA EDGE 30 PRO
The Bluetooth SIG certification does not come with a long list of requirements for the handset, as is customary. We do, however, know what to expect because the Motorola Edge X30 is already available in China.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The Adreno 730 GPU in the 4 nm processor ensures excellent gaming performance.

The specifications revolve around a stunning 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a staggering 144 Hz refresh rate. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has been the only Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship with a 144 Hz refresh rate until now. Despite those in the gaming industry, few brands are betting on a 144 Hz refresh rate. Moving back to the back of the phone, there are three cameras. It has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Selfies are also excellent, thanks to the 60 MP camera. In China, there are two types of cameras available: punch-hole and under-screen. We don’t know if the latter will find its way to international markets, though. Especially when the title says “Special Edition.”
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro also has stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the side. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5 are included in the package. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that charges in 68 seconds. The device comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Motorola’s skin on top.
On February 24, the Edge 30 Pro will be unveiled. According to recent rumors, it won’t be Motorola’s only flagship this year. Motorola Frontier, a smartphone with a 200-megapixel camera, is also in the works.
