Asus ROG Phone 5S, ROG Phone 5S Pro Powered by Snapdragon 888+, 144Hz Display Launched In India

Asus has updated its gaming smartphone lineup with the launch of the ROG Phone 5S series in India. Two premium smartphones with top-tier hardware have been released in India by the company. The ROG Phone 5S series was released in Europe and other markets late last year.

The Snapdragon 888+ SoC is the brain behind the devices. They also have a silky smooth 144Hz refresh rate display. Asus’ latest gaming smartphones support a variety of gaming smartphone accessories for a better experience.

The price of the Asus ROG Phone 5S series in India

There are two storage options available starting with the ROG Phone 5S. The 8GB + 128GB storage option will set you back Rs 49,999, while the 12GB + 256GB storage option will set you back Rs 57,999.

The ROG Phone 5S Pro has 18GB + 512GB of storage and costs Rs 79,999. Starting February 18, both devices will be available on Flipkart in Black and White colour options.

Features and specifications

Many specifications are shared by both ROG flagship smartphones. They have a 6.78-inch E4 AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. A 144Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate are supported by the display. The screen is HDR10+ certified and claims to have a 24ms touch latency.

For added screen protection, Asus has used Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus on the ROG Phone 5s series. For a gamer phone look, the Pro model has a ROG Vision Colour Display on the back and an RGB light inside the logo.

The Snapdragon 888+ processor and Adreno 660 GPU are shared by both phones. They have a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. Dual ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors and dual capacitive triggers are also included on the back of the gaming smartphones. In the retail box of the Pro model, Asus will include its AeroActive Cooler accessory, which includes dual physical trigger buttons.

There are two USB Type-C ports on the smartphones, one on the side and one on the bottom edge. The phones have a 24MP front camera sensor in terms of optics. On the back, they have a triple-camera setup. There’s a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, as well as a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
