Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 specs leak: Support for stylus, 120Hz refresh rate

Xiaomi, like Samsung and OPPO, is working on the MIX Fold 2, a new foldable smartphone. According to a new leak from Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is working on a MIX Fold 2, which also revealed some details about the device. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will be the successor to the MIX Fold, which was released exclusively in China in March of last year. A Xiaomi Flip smartphone is also rumored to be in the works. According to the source, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 has an 8-inch AMOLED display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship processor. According to a leak, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will have a Snapdragon 8xx series chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 108MP camera module.

The foldable smartphone will support a stylus, according to a Xiaomi patent discovered by Phonearena. The patent is most likely about the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. With an 8-inch display, the Mix Fold can be considered a mini-tablet. With the addition of a stylus, the device could compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Apple iPad Pro, both of which have one.

Xiaomi Mix Flip

The Xiaomi MIX Flip is also rumored to be in development, but no details about its features and specifications have surfaced online. Last year, we came across a Xiaomi patent filing at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) that revealed a flip phone with a folding mechanism similar to the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3.

The patent shows a pilled shared cutout for dual front cameras. A dual-camera setup with a back LED flash is also visible in the image. The image also shows a square cutout next to the camera module, which is most likely a secondary display for accessing notifications, time, and the camera.
