Tecno Spark 8C with a 90Hz display and a 5,000mAh battery has been launched

A new low-cost smartphone from Tecno has been released. Tecno has unveiled the Tecno Spark 8C, the company’s fifth smartphone in the Spark series. In September 2021, Spark 8 was the first to be announced, followed by Spark 8P, 8 Pro, and Spark 8T.

Tecno’s new budget smartphone is currently unavailable in India. The company is expected to release its new low-cost smartphone in the country soon. A 90Hz display, dual-camera setup, and other features are included in the phone.

RAM and storage for the Tecno Spark 8C

The price of the 8C has yet to be announced by Tecno. The phone’s RAM and storage capacities have been confirmed. A base model with 2GB of RAM is included. The 3GB RAM option comes with 64GB of internal storage.

We can expect the phone to cost less than Rs 10,000 when it is released in India. The device is available in four colours: grey, purple, black, and cyan.

Features and specifications

The Spark 8C has a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. Because it is a budget model, the device does not have an AMOLED display. It has an LCD instead. A waterdrop notch in the top center houses the 8MP front camera. A refresh rate of 90Hz is also supported by the device.

A dual-camera setup is housed in a rectangular camera block on the back. The primary camera has a 13MP sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. It’s equipped with an AI lens. The camera module also houses an LED flash unit. The rear camera system includes HDR mode, AR stickers, time-lapse mode, AI scene recognition, bokeh mode, and other features.

On the back of the phone, the fingerprint scanner is next to the camera sensors. The phone also supports AI-assisted face unlocking. Under the hood, there’s a 5,000mAh battery. Fast charging isn’t mentioned at all. As a result, we can expect 10W charging to be available right out of the box. A microSD card slot is included for memory expansion.

The specifications of the processor are unknown. However, the phone is expected to be powered by a Unisoc T610 chipset. The same chipset is used in the Realme C21Y, C25Y, Moto E40, and other phones.
