Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event has been confirmed for February

Samsung has announced the launch date for the Galaxy S22 series. Later this year, the company will host its new Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event. The event will take place in February 2022, according to TM Roh, President of Samsung Electronics. While the exact launch date has yet to be determined, the company has confirmed a few key details.

“We’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created at Unpacked in February 2022,” Roh writes in the blog post. This suggests that, like the Note series, the S Pen will be included in the Galaxy S-series. According to a recent leak, the Galaxy S22 series will be unveiled on February 9.

At the event, Samsung will unveil its “notable S series devices,” which will include S Pen support and professional-grade cameras. According to Samsung, the upcoming Galaxy S-series smartphones will once again rewrite the rules of the industry.

Information about the three Galaxy S22 phones has previously leaked. With a design inspired by the Galaxy Note, the top-of-the-line S22 Ultra model is the star of the show. An S Pen slot will be located at the bottom of the phone. It’ll have a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera will be found on the phone’s back.

There’s also the S22 Plus and the standard S22. Both devices will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors in terms of design. The main camera sensor will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. Three cameras will be included in the phones.

All three Samsung phones will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or an Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on the launch region. Fast charging up to 45W will also be supported. A 5000 mAh battery is expected in the Ultra model, while a 4000 mAh cell is expected in the S22.

Along with the S22 models, Samsung is expected to unveil its new Galaxy Tab S8 series.
