The new GT series flagship smartphones from Realme have been unveiled. The Realme GT 2 series has been unveiled in China by the company. Soon, the devices are expected to be released in India and other international markets. In the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro series, Realme has released two devices. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8-series chipset powers Realme’s new flagship smartphones. On the back, they have a triple-camera setup.
The price of the Realme GT 2 series
In China, the GT 2 was released with a starting price of CNY 2599. (roughly Rs 30,500). Users get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for the price. The phone is also available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations, both of which cost CNY 2799 (roughly Rs 32,900). (roughly Rs 36,400).
The GT 2 Pro comes with the four storage options mentioned above. CNY 3699 (roughly Rs 43,450) for the 8GB + 128GB model, and CNY 3999 for the 8GB + 256GB model (roughly Rs 47,000). For CNY 4299 (roughly Rs 50,500) and CNY 4799, respectively, you can get 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurations (roughly Rs 56,400). The colours available are Paper Green, Paper White, Titanium Blue, and Steel Black.
Features and specifications
For example, the GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A hole-punch cutout in the top left corner of the screen houses the 32MP front camera. A 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 50MP 150-degree ultrawide camera, and a 2MP microscope camera sensor are all found on the phone’s back.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a 5000mAh battery. It has a USB Type-C port with 65W wired fast charging support. The phone’s display also houses a fingerprint scanner and a face unlock feature. It comes pre-installed with Android 12 and a layer of Realme UI 3.0 on top.
The standard GT 2, on the other hand, has a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 12GB of RAM. A 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support is housed inside. The phone has a 16MP front camera hidden inside the hole-punch cutout.
A 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro unit are part of a triple-camera setup on the back. Realme UI 3.0, which is based on Android 12, is also preinstalled on the phone. It weighs 199 grams and is 8.6mm thick.
