According to publisher Krafton, PUBG: Battlegrounds has switched to a free-to-play model and is now available to all gamers for free on PC and consoles. To go along with the new Battlegrounds Plus premium account upgrade, Krafton, the publisher of the popular mobile battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India, has introduced a one-time, non-recurring Battlegrounds Plus premium account upgrade. The premium upgrade includes extra G-Coin, a 100% increase in Survival Mastery XP, special in-game items, and custom match functionality with access to the Ranked game mode.
Krafton first announced the decision to make PUBG: Battlegrounds free-to-play on December 9 at The Game Awards 2021, which will take place on January 12. The game has sold over 75 million copies worldwide since its release in 2017; it was previously priced at Rs. 999 in India, but is now available for free on Steam. On the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox 360, the game is also playable. A $12.99 (roughly Rs. 960) premium account upgrade is required for gamers who want access to additional in-game rewards as well as Ranked and custom match modes.
