Every year in March or April, OnePlus releases its flagship smartphones, followed by a T series device at the end of the year. However, the company’s strategy has shifted in recent months. The OnePlus 10 Pro has been announced in China after the company skipped the global launch of the OnePlus 9RT in 2020.
OnePlus has only announced the Pro version of its flagship phone, unlike previous years, deferring the launch of the OnePlus 10 for the time being. The OnePlus 10 Pro was released in China today, and it features a triple rear camera setup, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 80W fast charging, and an LTPO 2.0 display. There were few surprises at the event because many of the device’s features and specifications had already been confirmed by the company.
Price and Availability of the OnePlus 10 Pro
The OnePlus 10 Pro comes in three variants: 8GB+128GB for CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs 54,500), 8GB+256GB for CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 58,000), and 12GB+256GB for CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 58,000). (roughly Rs 58,000). (approximately Rs 61,500). The device comes in two colour options: Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest (Green). Starting today, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available for pre-order in China.
Specifications and Features of the OnePlus 10 Pro
To begin, the OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1440 x 3612 pixels. The phone uses second-generation LTPO calibration, which enables a 1Hz refresh rate. Depending on the type of content being viewed, the phone can go from 1Hz to 120Hz. It also supports Always-on-Display. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, as well as up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, are all included in the 10 Pro.
For the second year, OnePlus and Hasselblad are collaborating on optics. A 48MP main sensor (Sony IMX 789), a 50MP ultra-wide secondary lens with 150-degree FoV, and an 8MP telephoto snapper make up the triple rear camera setup. The cameras also have dual optical image stabilization (OIS). Selfies are taken with a front-facing 32MP camera. 12-bit RAW, HDR, Movie mode, RAW Pro mode, and the OnePlus Billion Colors feature are all supported by the camera.
The flagship phone also features a 5,000mAh battery with an 80W SuperVOOC fast charging system and a 50W AirVOOC wireless charging system. Wireless charging in the opposite direction is also possible with this phone. The 80W wired charger takes about 32 minutes to fully charge the device.
The device runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 in China, but it is confirmed to run OxygenOS 12 outside of China. A dual stereo speaker setup, alert slider, X-axis linear motor, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, O-haptics, HyperBoost mode, VoLTE, and VoWiFi are among the other features.
