Vivo is preparing to launch its next S-series smartphone. In China, the S12 series is set to debut later this month or early next year. The first two devices in the series are expected to be the S12 and S12 Pro. The design renders for the Pro model had previously leaked. According to the report, the phone will have a wide notch for the dual front camera setup. More information about the device has leaked online as the launch date approaches.
Specifications for the Vivo S12 Pro
In the coming weeks, the Vivo S12 Pro will be available for purchase. A tipster named Digital Chat Station has leaked the device’s specifications ahead of the official launch. According to the source, the device will have an improved display, camera, and performance unit (via GizmoChina).
Starting with the screen, the phone is said to have a curved OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a notch cutout. Two front camera sensors will be housed in the notch. According to reports, the device will have a 50MP front camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
According to the leaked details from DCS, the S12 Pro will also have a 108MP primary camera sensor. An 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP tertiary sensor will be included in the triple-camera setup on the back.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by a Dimensity 1200 SoC. It is almost certain that 44W fast charging will be supported. TAt this time, the battery capacity is unknown. Finally, the phone is expected to run Vivo’s upcoming OriginOS Ocean UI on top of Android.
When it launches in China, the phone is expected to cost CNY 3,000. (roughly Rs 35,300). The device will compete with the Honor 60 series, which was recently released in the country, at that price point.
