The Chinese tech giant Oppo has released a special edition of the Reno 7 5G dubbed Oppo Reno 75G New Year Edition. The special edition model is available in a new colour and has a custom logo etched on the back panel. The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is currently only available in China, with no information on when it will be available in other markets. In November, the Oppo Reno 7 series was released in China, but it has yet to be released internationally.
Price and availability of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition
The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is priced at the same level as the regular Oppo Reno7 5G. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 31,800), the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 35,400), and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 35,400). Because 2022 is the Chinese Year of the Tiger, Oppo etched the Tiger logo on the back panel, according to a Weibo post.
Specifications for the Oppo Reno 75G
Because the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is just a redesigned version of the original Oppo Reno 7 5G, it has the same specifications as the original Oppo Reno 75G, which was released in China in November. The phone comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 778G processor comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
A triple rear camera system on the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, there’s a Sony IMX709 sensor with 32 megapixels. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options. The phone’s battery capacity is 4,500mAh, and it supports 60W Flash Charge fast charging.
