Moto Edge X30 Officially Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 144Hz Display

Motorola recently unveiled the Edge series’ newest flagship. The Moto Edge X30 is the world’s first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. A phone with a front camera hidden beneath the display has also been announced by Moto. The 60MP front camera on the Edge X30 is the highest resolution selfie camera we’ve seen on a smartphone to date.

Price and Availability of the Moto Edge X30

There are three memory storage options for the Moto Edge X30: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The 8GB + 128GB model costs RMB 3,199 (roughly Rs. 37,922), while the 8GB + 256GB model costs RMB 3,399 (roughly Rs. 37,922). (roughly Rs. 37,922). The Moto Edge X30 with an under-display selfie camera will only be available in the 12GB + 256GB configuration for RMB 3,999. (approx. 47,421). Beginning December 15th, it will be available for purchase in China. As an introductory offer, the brand is offering an RMB 200 discount on all variants.

Specifications and Features of the Moto Edge X30

A 6.7-inch FHD+ POLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a peak brightness of 700nits graces the Edge X30. The device’s 10-bit display panel has a touch sampling rate of 576Hz and can refresh up to 144 times per second. The front shooter is hidden behind a punch-hole notch, and it’s HDR10+ certified.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor, which is based on ARM v9 architecture and built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process, powers the device. It has an Adreno 730 GPU and a built-in X65 5G modem. It has a Cortex X2 Kryo Prime core running at 3.0GHz, 3x A710 Kryo performance cores running at 2.50GHz, and 4x A510 Kryo efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz.

The Edge X30 supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone comes pre-loaded with Android 12, Google’s most recent mobile operating system, and MyUI 3.0 on top. The device has a 5,000mAh battery and can charge at a rate of 68W.

The Edge X30 has a triple rear camera setup as well as an LED flash in terms of optics. A 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens join the device’s main 50MP sensor. On the primary 50MP sensor, optical image stabilization is also available (also known as OIS). For selfies and video calls, it has a 60MP front-facing camera.

The Edge X30 has a fingerprint scanner on the side as well as a USB Type-C charging port. However, it does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 5G, 4G, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS. The handset weighs 194 grams and measures 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49mm.
