Xiaomi 12 camera specifications have leaked online, giving fans a sneak peek at the company’s upcoming high-end smartphone. According to previous leaks, Xiaomi will launch the phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and the phone will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor. This is in line with previous Xiaomi 12 rumors, which suggested the device would feature a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup and LPDDR5X memory.
The Chinese smartphone giant could ship the upcoming Xiaomi 12 with a 50-megapixel primary camera, according to two separate posts on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station, spotted by Sparrows News. The Xiaomi 12 could have an ultra-wide-angle, periscopic, and telephoto lens, as well as 100W fast charging and an under-screen camera, according to the report. Xiaomi hasn’t said much about this phone, but previous rumors have suggested that the Xiaomi 12 series will be unveiled in December, making these phones among the first to use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon chipset.

The Xiaomi12 will, according to the source, have a Full-HD+ display, which is a step down from last year’s Mi 11 series, which had a 1440p resolution. While previous reports suggested that the Xiaomi 12 would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, no official confirmation has been made. The Qualcomm and Snapdragon brands have recently been separated, with the latter becoming a standalone product brand, and the new SoC is expected to debut at the Qualcomm Tech Summit on November 30 to December 2.
Meanwhile, according to a recent report, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which could be the company’s next high-end smartphone, will feature a quad-camera setup at the center with a 50-megapixel GN5 sensor. Xiaomi has not revealed the specifications or features of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but the device is expected to be a China-only device that will launch in the second quarter of 2022.
