Vivo is working on a new Y-series smartphone. Vivo’s smartphone, the Vivo Y55s, could be released soon. The company has yet to confirm the official launch date of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. However, some important details about the device have been leaked online.

According to a China Telecom listing spotted by GizmoChina, the Vivo Y55s will be launched in China on December 4th. The listing reveals the device’s design as well as its key specs and features.

The Vivo Y55s will be available in China on December 4th, according to a China Telecom listing. According to the listing, the device also has a dual-camera setup on the back. It will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor as well as a 2-megapixel depth-sensing secondary sensor. The device will have an 8MP front camera sensor for selfies. The device’s waterdrop notch on top of the display will house this front camera.

The screen has thin bezels, except for the chin, which is thicker. It will have a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. A 60Hz refresh rate is likely to be supported by the device. The phone will be 163.87 x 75.33 x 9.17mm in size and weigh 199 grams, according to the listing.

Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It’ll probably come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in a single storage configuration at launch. Virtual RAM is also expected to be supported by Vivo. A hefty 6000 mAh battery powers the phone, which supports 18W fast charging.

It will come with Android 11 pre-installed and a layer of Origin OS on top. The phone has WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM, and other connectivity features. Ceramic Black, Mirror Lake Blue, and Cherry Pink Meteor are the three colours available, and it will cost CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs 22,200) in China.
