The Redmi K50 and K50 Pro specifications were leaked online a few months ago, and the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro were expected to be released by the end of the year. However, as the rumor mill slowed for a while and everyone sat around talking about other phones, a new report from My Drivers has reawakened Redmi fans’ interest in the upcoming Redmi K50, which is expected to be a flagship killer. Fans have been anticipating the launch of the new Redmi K50 lineup, which will include three new phones: the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ since it was first teased.
Xiaomi appears to be bringing back an old feature: a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display. This is the case, according to the most recent report. The under-display fingerprint scanner on the Redmi K20 is a fan favorite, and despite Xiaomi opting for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, the craze hasn’t died down. With the new lineup, the under-display fingerprint scanner could return, though it would be more expensive than a rear-mounted or side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Even though it’s unclear whether the under-display fingerprint scanner will be used on all three devices, we expect Xiaomi to make the right choice and include it in all three. With a 120Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 898 processor, as well as a large 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, the Redmi K50 Pro+ will be the top-end phone in the lineup.
Some specifications for the K50 and K50 Pro are also known: the K50 Pro will have a 108-megapixel camera, Snapdragon 895 SoC, and 120W fast charging support, whereas the K50 will have a 48-megapixel camera.
