Huawei launched the Huawei Watch GT Runner smartwatch in China, which is aimed at professional athletes. The Huawei Watch GT 3 has the majority of the same specs and features as the GT Runner, but it adds AI, a running coach, high-precision tracking, marathon track-level tracking, and more.
Features and Specifications
The Huawei Watch GT Runner features a circular AMOLED display with a diameter of 1.43 inches. The watch is made of reinforced polymer fibre material and is available in two colours: black and grey. The look is finished with a metallic crown and a button on the side. It’s also 5ATM water-resistant. In addition, the smartwatch has over 100 sports modes and automatically detects workouts. It also includes a sleep tracker.
There is a 5-star dual-frequency positioning for precise trajectory monitoring with dual-band (L1 and L5) GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS satellite systems. A running power index is also included in the device, which is calculated using multi-dimensional data such as historical running heart rate, pace, distance, and frequency. This index can be used to predict race results, help runners create personal training plans, and encourage consistent improvement in running performance.
An accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, optical heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, and barometric pressure sensor are all built into the watch. Connectivity is provided by Bluetooth and NFC. There’s also a speaker and microphone, as well as 4GB of internal music storage.
On a single charge, the Huawei Watch GT Runner is rated to last up to 14 days, but this may vary depending on your usage. It can be changed using the magnetic thimble charging port. Other notable features include training recommendations, a smart running plan with customization options, and real-time voice guidance.
