Moto Edge X30 could be the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset

Motorola is getting ready to release its next flagship phone. The smartphone is expected to be known as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra in international markets. The phone could be released first in China under the Lenovo-owned Moto Edge X-series. The Moto Edge X30 will be the company’s next flagship, and it has already been teased. Chen Jin, Lenovo China’s General Manager for Mobile, has teased the release of a “new phone” with a new teaser on Weibo.

The Moto Edge X30’s release date has yet to be determined. The Motorola flagship is expected to be released soon, according to official executives’ teaser posts. It could be the first phone to use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which will replace the Snapdragon 888.

The Moto Edge X30 is the new phone mentioned by Jin in his Weibo post. Motorola had previously hinted that the Edge X-series would use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon flagship processor. As a result, the device is likely to be unveiled soon, possibly at the Snapdragon Summit on November 30.

The GM also confirmed the device’s key features. Corning Gorilla Glass will be used on both the front and back of the device. It has a “powerful core,” according to Jin, that provides “great performance.” Furthermore, the Lenovo China GM confirmed that My UI 3.0 will be pre-installed on the phone.

Other information about the device has been leaked in the past. According to reports, it will have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. A 60MP camera sensor is said to be housed in the hole-punch cutout in the phone’s front camera. A triple-camera setup with two 50MP sensors and a 2MP tertiary lens will be found on the back. In China, the device is expected to have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging.
