Battlefield 2042 is almost coming, however, it appears that a player may have had access to the game on November 19th, ahead of time. Early access to Battlefield 2042 was granted to Reddit user u/Aaronfrogger earlier this week, two weeks before the game’s official release date, and he was able to post screenshots of multiplayer gameplay, weapon customization, maps, and even Portal.
They caused a phenomenon on the r/Battlefield2042 subreddit, where fans were eager to get a behind-the-scenes peek and bombarded him with questions ahead of the game’s release. Aaronfrogger was kicked out of Battlefield 2042 quickly after releasing a large amount of stuff, most likely because the game found they weren’t supposed to be here at this time.
Battlefield 2042 obtains early access but is pulled out soon after
According to the user, the user was able to obtain access to the game due to an error with their Xbox Series X pre-loading the game ahead of time. There haven’t been many reports of the Xbox Series X pre-loading games this far ahead of launch, if any at all, thus it doesn’t appear to be a typical occurrence for Xbox owners.
Fans were given a sneak glance at a few of the game’s unique features, including a Bots menu that allows players to control the game’s Soldier AI level solo or in co-op. This may be a great way to explore maps without the worry of being shot down, as well as practice aim and tactics against artificial intelligence. Gun customization appears to be precisely how fans had hoped, with players having complete control over each component, as in the previous Call of Duty games.
Aaronfrogger was also able to leak screenshots of some weapons from Battlefield 2042, which will no doubt please Battlefield 2042 aficionados.
