OPPO ColorOS 12 Based on Android 12 Confirmed Launch on October 11 Globally

ColorOS 12 will be available in India on October 11th, according to Oppo. ColorOS 12 — which is based on Android 12 — will be unveiled in a global online event. The new operating system (OS) was first introduced to the public in September, and the company highlighted all of the new features that will be included in ColorOS 12 when it launches next week. The OnePlus 9 series and the Oppo Find X3 series are the first devices to receive the Android 12 open beta update.

Oppo’s ColorOS 12 will be released in India on October 11 at 2:30 p.m. IST, according to the company. On the same day, ColorOS 12 will be released in other global markets. The Chinese tech giant will detail the new ColorOS design, features, performance, and rollout timeline during the launch event. For Oppo smartphones released after 2019, there is also a new update policy. Three major Android updates for the Oppo Find X series, two major Android updates for the Oppo Reno and Oppo F-series smartphones, and one major Android update for some Oppo A-series smartphones are all guaranteed by Oppo. Furthermore, the Find X series, Reno, and F-series smartphones will receive four years of regular security patch updates, whereas the A-series will receive three years.

Features of OPPO ColorOS 12

ColorOS 12 was released in September and includes a slew of new features. New Quick View cards, a 3D avatar called Omoji, and a slew of shortcuts will all be included. These shortcuts include gestures like switching to a small window with a single click, switching to full-screen with a double click, and adjusting the size by dragging the corners. Users will also be able to use the smartphone with a Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptop thanks to the new Android skin.

Oppo and OnePlus announced earlier this week on Weibo that the Oppo Find X3 series and OnePlus 9 series smartphones will receive an open beta of ColorOS 12 in China. ColorOS 12 A.11 was released for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, while ColorOS 12 A.27 was released for the Oppo Find X3 Pro and Find X3 Pro Mars Exploration Edition. ColorOS 12 A.28 was installed on the vanilla Oppo Find X3.
