Apple has announced October 18th event; new MacBooks, AirPods, and more expected TechAlert24

Apple hasn’t slowed down with its product announcements for 2021. Invitations for a new event on October 18th have been sent out by the Cupertino behemoth. Apple’s iPhone 13 launch event, which featured new iPhones, iPads, and an Apple Watch, came after this. New Mac and AirPods products are expected to be unveiled at Apple’s upcoming ‘Unleashed’ event on October 18th. According to previous reports, Apple will unveil new M1X-powered MacBook Pro models, a redesigned Mac Mini, and third-generation AirPods, among other things.

On the Apple event invitation for October 18th, the word “Unleashed” appears, and the theme appears to be speed. We can deduce from the invitation that the company will unveil the rumored MacBook Pro with the M1X chipset. The M1X is expected to have faster clock speeds than the M1 processor announced last year. The M1X will have ten CPU cores instead of the M1’s eight, according to Bloomberg. It will also provide better graphics performance than the predecessor’s eight cores, thanks to its 16 or 32 cores.

At Apple’s October 18th event, a redesigned Mac Mini with the M1X chip is expected to be unveiled. Little is known about the new Mac Mini except that it will have a few more ports than last year’s model. The Mac Mini 2021 is expected to have two Thunderbolt/ USB 4 Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports.

Finally, on October 18th, Apple will unveil the third-generation AirPods, also known as AirPods 3. The entry-level AirPods 3 are expected to have shorter stems, rubber ear tips, and a new charging case. The AirPods 3 could be a cheaper version of the AirPods Pro, minus the active noise cancellation.
