The Pixel 6 series launch date has been confirmed by Google. The new Pixel phones will go on sale in the United States and a few other countries on October 19. The Pixel 6 series was announced by Google earlier this year. At the time, the company only teased a few of the devices’ key specifications. Tipster Evan Blass has leaked some key details about the Pixel 6 series a few weeks before the launch. The tipster has shared marketing images for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which reveal the design as well as confirm some key specs and features.
The features of the Google Pixel 6 series have been leaked
The camera specs of the Google Pixel 6 Pro model have been confirmed by leaked marketing images. A 50MP primary wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera will be included. Google has confirmed that the telephoto camera will have a 4x optical zoom capability. The standard Pixel will feature the same 50MP and 12MP camera sensors as the Pixel Pro. Both phones will be water-resistant and have an IP rating.
The leaked images also revealed a few other important details. The new Pixel stand and its charging interface are the first. When the Pixel 6 series is charging, it displays the “Now Playing” music and the Home app settings. It also has two buttons on the bottom labeled “Performance mode” and “Quiet mode,” implying that the Pixel Stand will include a fan to keep the temperatures under control. In addition, in performance mode, the Pixel stand may support fast wireless charging.
It also introduces the new Live Space Widget, which displays the most recent updates and events. A new Pixel Security app is also available, which displays the various security settings and permissions that have been enabled or disabled for an app.
