Xiaomi Civi could come with Galaxy S21 Ultra 108 MP sensor

Xiaomi is rumored to be preparing to launch a new smartphone line called the Xiaomi Civi. The first phone in the series is expected to have a 108-megapixel camera. The ISOCELL HM3 on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra isn’t just any 108 MP camera. Rumors about the Civi’s SoC, on the other hand, may disappoint.

Xiaomi is set to release a new smartphone in China soon. The new phone will be the first in the “Civi” series, according to images circulating online, and a new leak has revealed a few details about the device.

The Civi series is expected to succeed the Mi CC lineup, which debuted a few years ago. That means the series will primarily focus on flagship-level camera performance while keeping the rest of the specs and pricing in the mid-range. Specs for the phone have also been leaked, which appear to support that theory.

The Xiaomi Civi will have a 108 MP camera, according to Xiaomiui. That isn’t particularly impressive, given that Xiaomi has included 108 MP cameras in phones like the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The Xiaomi Civi is interesting because of the sensor in question. Xiaomiui claims that the Civi will come with an ISOCELL HM3 camera. That’s the same 108 MP sensor found on the Galaxy S21 Ultra and a significant upgrade over the Mi 11’s HMX and Xiaomi 11T’s HM2.

The Xiaomi Civi is also said to be powered by a MediaTek processor. Although the exact chipset is unknown, a Dimensity 1200 is a safe bet.
