Thanks to a leaked poster of what appears to be official marketing material for the smartphone, the design and color options of the Vivo X70 Pro+ have been revealed online. The poster also reveals at least two color options for the X70 Pro+, one of which is blue, though it’s unclear whether the orange color variant seen in the poster belongs to the X70 Pro+ or its slightly lower sibling, the X70 Pro. The smartphone is expected to be the flagship model in the Vivo X70 lineup, and it is expected to go on sale later this month with top-notch performance specs.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor is expected to power the Vivo X70 Pro+, which will have at least 12GB of RAM. It will also have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and a quad-camera setup on the back. The camera module, according to the poster, takes up a significant portion of the back panel and appears to have Zeiss branding on its lenses. Along with other units, the smartphone is expected to include a 50MP primary rear camera module. The device may also have a textured back panel and a 9mm body thickness.
At this time, it’s unclear what the main selling point of the Vivo X70 Pro+ camera will be. Each year, the Vivo X series of smartphones receive a camera upgrade, which has included a critically acclaimed gimbal stabilization feature. The X70 Pro+ could provide an upgrade or introduce a new feature that has yet to be revealed. The X70 Pro+ may include a high frame rate of 4K video recording, among other features, due to its focus on videography. When the Vivo X70 series is released later this month, all of this will be clear.
Along with the new color option, the post hinted at the Vivo V1 custom processor that the company is rumored to be working on. More information about this has yet to be released, and it is unclear what end-use case Vivo has in mind for the custom chip is designed. More Chinese OEMs are considering such features, though how they will be implemented remains to be seen.
