Two New Minecraft Games Currently developing by Mojang

Minecraft has been at the top of its game for nearly two decades, and Mojang Studios has done an incredible job of steadily improving the game with each new update. Minecraft has seen a lot of activity as an IP, and it has appeared in a variety of forms in the gaming industry, including an episodic Telltale adventure and a fantastic dungeon-crawler.

Although there are so many different projects out there, Mojang is looking to expand its portfolio with a couple of new projects that have yet to be confirmed. According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Mojang is currently working on two Minecraft-related projects, neither of which is the base game or Dungeons & Dragons.

That can only mean that there’s a lot more to discover in that universe and that Mojang has a lot more to play with.

Mojang is rumored to be working on new Minecraft games

Mojang has proven that they are not afraid to experiment with different genres, most notably with Minecraft Dungeons. Dungeons is a fantastically well-made and polished game that has received a lot of positive feedback from fans, indicating that there is a strong demand for more diverse Minecraft games.

“One thing is certain: there will be more Minecraft. I’ve heard from reliable sources that Mojang is working on at least two new games that aren’t Minecraft or Minecraft Dungeons, though I have no idea what they’ll look like. Maybe all of those pixel-style art posts were teases for full-fledged projects… or maybe not. But there’s always hope.”

According to Jez Corden, Mojang’s social media has been teasing some novel ideas, including a pixel-art platformer, a Pokemon-style RPG, and others in the same vein. Although Mojang hasn’t confirmed the existence of these games in development, they’re still intriguing concepts to consider.
