Samsung is preparing to release a new 5G smartphone. The Galaxy Wide5 will be released very soon, according to Samsung. In India, the Samsung Galaxy Wide5 could be known as the Galaxy F42 5G. Geekbench has the phone listed ahead of its official release. The Geekbench listing confirms a few key details about the upcoming Samsung phone. It has a MediaTek MT6833V SoC, which is the Dimensity 700 SoC from MediaTek. Geekbench lists the phone as having 6GB of RAM. It comes pre-installed with Android 11 and is expected to have a One UI 3.1 layer on top of the Android mobile operating system.

In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the device receives scores of 558 and 1513, respectively. A Google Play Console listing revealed additional information about the device. The device will have a display resolution of 1080 x 2009 and a Mali G57 GPU. It will have a water-drop notch and a slightly thicker chin bezel. It also reveals that the phone may be released in India as a rebranded Galaxy F42 5G, which is essentially a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G. The devices’ monikers had previously been confirmed via a Bluetooth SIG listing. Galaxy Buddy and Galaxy Wide5 were also named for the Galaxy F22 5G.
This means the phone will have a 6.6-inch TFT LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone will feature a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 48MP primary main camera. A 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor will be included in the camera module. A front-facing camera with an aperture of 8 megapixels will be included.
