In India, the Samsung Galaxy Wide5 could be known as the Galaxy F42 5G. Geekbench has the phone listed ahead of its official release. The Geekbench listing confirms a few key details about the upcoming Samsung phone. It has a MediaTek MT6833V SoC, which is the Dimensity 700 SoC from MediaTek. Geekbench lists the phone as having 6GB of RAM. It comes pre-installed with Android 11 and is expected to have a One UI 3.1 layer on top of the Android mobile operating system.
In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the device receives scores of 558 and 1513, respectively. A Google Play Console listing revealed additional information about the device. The device will have a display resolution of 1080 x 2009 and a Mali G57 GPU. It will have a water-drop notch and a slightly thicker chin bezel. It also reveals that the phone may be released in India as a rebranded Galaxy F42 5G, which is essentially a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G. The devices’ monikers had previously been confirmed via a Bluetooth SIG listing. Galaxy Buddy and Galaxy Wide5 were also named for the Galaxy F22 5G.
This means the phone will have a 6.6-inch TFT LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone will feature a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 48MP primary main camera. A 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor will be included in the camera module. A front-facing camera with an aperture of 8 megapixels will be included.
