Samsung Galaxy S is the new Galaxy Note Series, Tipster Claims

One of the most popular smartphone lines is Samsung’s Galaxy Note Series. When it comes to Samsung’s flagship phones, power users, who mean productivity, are always more inclined towards the Galaxy Note Series. Samsung, on the other hand, seemed to abandon the Note Series by including the S Pen in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which appeared to be the end of the Note Series. However, some recent events have prompted many people to consider the Galaxy Note’s reintroduction.

We previously discussed the possibility of a Galaxy Flex Note device. Yes, the keywords are Flex and Note, implying a device with a flexible or wrap-around display, as well as a large-screen phone with an S Pen. In July, Samsung Display registered a trademark for the name Flex Note, and now they’ve applied to CNIPA for a new design patent (China National Intellectual Property Administration). If you don’t think that means much to you, take a look at the tweet below.

Ice Universe, a well-known tipster, has predicted that the S Series will be renamed Note. However, it does not appear to be compelling because the S Series and Note Series both have a sizable user base who choose one over the other due to the distinct differences between the two lineups. Because of the S Pen, the Galaxy S21 Ultra has a Note-like feel to it, which means it may not be as appealing to those who don’t want an S Pen as any other S Series flagship. Samsung, on the other hand, played it smart by not including the S Pen with the phone and instead of making it an optional accessory that Note fans could buy to use with their S21 Ultra.

Samsung recently filed a design patent that suggests two possible Galaxy Flex Note devices with a wrap-around display and S Pen; however, claiming that Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Note back is highly speculative. Instead, Samsung could launch a new Flex line of devices with wrap-around displays, emulating the Note with a magnetic chamber for the S Pen.

Allowing the Note Series to die also means that Samsung will have to abandon the S Pen, as using it on the S21 Ultra is nothing like using it on a Note. Samsung does not appear to be interested in doing so. As a result, the S Pen was first introduced as an accessory for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and now Samsung is developing devices that can hold the S Pen. As a result, we can conclude that the S Pen keeps the Note Series’ resurrection hopes alive for the time being.
